This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m so lucky to work with a group of students who bring so much joy and laughter to our classroom. They come from a variety of backgrounds, each facing their own unique challenges, but what unites them is their incredible resilience and humor. They push themselves, support each other, and never give up. Unfortunately, many of these students don’t have the tools they need to succeed in math. That’s why I’m asking for your help to provide them with calculators. These calculators aren’t just simple tools—they are keys that will unlock their potential. With a calculator, my students will be able to focus more on understanding concepts and solving problems instead of getting stuck on tedious calculations. It will give them the confidence to take risks and tackle challenging problems without feeling overwhelmed.

My goal with this project is to give my students what they truly deserve: an equal opportunity to succeed.

I want them to feel empowered, knowing that they have the tools and support they need to thrive. I want them to experience the joy of math, not just as a subject, but as something they can conquer, just like anything else they set their minds to.

What makes my students so special is their spirit. They’ve faced so much, but they continue to show up every day with a sense of humor and a determination to do their best. They are driven, they are funny, and they are capable of so much. All they need is the chance to prove it—and that’s where you come in. Your donation will give them the chance to see just how far they can go.
