This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at my Title I school are kind, innocent, and hardworking. I want to keep them safe, excited, and engaged throughout their learning career.
Our school is a place where we are excited about learning and motivated by classroom chants, funny faces, praise, and rewards.
I want to instill in my students a love for learning. Our goal is to open the doors in their minds to new worlds where imagination and putting thoughts to paper is exhilarating. I need your help to do that.
We choose to teach students to be responsible for their own learning, and motivate them to love reading, writing, math, science, making friends, and attending school. They know how much we care for them, and they know how hard we work to get new things for our classrooms. Finally, they know that our classrooms are only as fun and successful as it is because of class volunteers and donors like you.
My Project
I feel giddy thinking about these new materials arriving in my classroom! The bright colored stools for our computer area, brand new chart paper for our whole group posters, and books on books on books! The students will be squealing when I bring out the play-doh to practice forming letters, words, numbers, and more.
These resources will turn my brand new 5 year old children into hard-working, school-loving, scholars!
Their favorite center we currently have is our giant math mat. Now we will have a giant mat for shapes and letters too; they’re going to be pumped when we crack those open!
