My Students
My students are mixed ability and amazing. They come from varying backgrounds but come together as a lively bunch of curious learners.
I have students who have limited resources at home and little access to engaging, educational activities outside of school.
I have students who have had to evacuate their countries due to conflict and are learning English for the first time. I have students with autism, learning disabilities, and attention deficit disorder.
They are my Blue Suede Paws and are our fantastic future.
My Project
Fluency is the key to reading success. Reading plays causes children to track their own reading and the reading of others as they wait for their part. Reading aloud promotes comprehension and oration skills. Plays encourage social interaction.
These play sets will give my students access to all of this plus knowledge of different genres of writing and historical events and people.
Our curriculum does not include access to well written plays. These play sets will enable that access. I would even love my students to put on the plays and share their learning with others. Ready, set, act..and read!
