My Project
Developing work skills and daily living skills gives students access to lifelong learning, passion, and independence. I'm asking for help in providing these opportunities in a way students can access! We have worked hard to develop a cafe for the staff in our building, a job site packing weekend food for elementary students, organizing a clothing closet, and running a micro business. These tasks prepare students for work and life after high school, but this learning isn’t easy. It requires a lot of pre-teaching - we need help!
My students have goals like any other student, it is my hope to give them access to the skills and connections to make their hopes a reality.
For our students, those dreams including meaningful employment and independent living! We work hard to develop these skills in the classroom, but due to the nature of my students’ disabilities it is hard to find curricular resources to meet their needs. Resources from Teachers Pay Teachers give us access to meaningful learning!
