My Project
Our class of fifth graders are driven leaders. They strive to do their best, especially during testing. As fifth graders, there are alot of assessments that is happening in the classroom, including unit assessments, district testings every grading periods, and the state testings (ELA SBA, Math SBA, and CA Science Test).
There are 27 students cramped into a room with little privacy to focus on their test.
As a small school, we don't have funding to provide testing boards for our students. We have makeshift ones from the past made out of poster paper, but it's not durable to stand on its own and not big enough to shield our students' work during testing. With these class set of testing board, this will allow our students the privacy and shield them from distraction so they can concentrate on their test and do their best! Our class also need an upgraded pencil sharpener. Our old one is not sharpening our pencils and the lead kept breaking off. It doesn't sharpen pencils as quickly, too. With a new sharpener, we will be able to have our pencil ready and our kids test ready!
