Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My super-curious kindergarteners are in need of carefully selected books to practice their newly acquired phonics skills. These books will fuel our learning during partner, independent and small group learning.
Decodable books are powerful!
This type of book can really foster a great deal of progress in early readers. The boost in excitement and confidence is a happy by-product to the tremendous growth potential these tools can supply. We’ve had so much success that we realized how essential it is to fill our modest classroom libraries with as many of these readers as possible.
The children can’t wait to get their hands on these books as they devour the words they can independently decode and teachers can’t wait to use these tools to teach the children how to read and love to read. A definite win-win situation!
