This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First grade students are learning how to be a part of the "big school". My scholars are curious and enthusiastic about coming to school. On rainy days, we have to play inside for recess and lunch. Having board games will make a huge difference during times when we are forced to stay inside.
Board games help children learn important social skills such as waiting, turn taking, sharing, how to cope with losing, making conversation, problem solving, compromising, collaborating and being flexible.
Having a variety of options will help them remain engaged on days where it can be disappointing for child to not play outside.
