This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are full of energy and curiosity! They are five and six year olds who come to school excited to learn. I try to make learning fun and engaging as they learn through play. For some of my students kindergarten is their first school experience which means that they come with different skills and abilities.

I believe that every child can learn at their own developmental pace.

My goal as their teacher is to provide engaging and challenging learning experiences in a positive and safe environment.

My Project

My students have worked hard all year long preparing for first grade and all they need now is a backpack and school supplies to be successful. I'm requesting a backpack for each of my students and some glue, erasers and markers.

My students will not only be ready academically but will have the supplies necessary to be successful in first grade.

This project will mean that each of my students will have their very own backpack, markers, glue, erasers, and paper. Can you imagine how stressful it can be on the first day of class? Having these school supplies will help ease the stress for them and their families.

My students are very grateful for your kindness.
