My students need 30 daily writing journals as well as learning and writing centers so that they can improve their use of words.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. B.'s classroom raised $383
This project is fully funded
I teach a third grade class in the Roseland community. My students are from low-income homes and don't have the materials to write down what they are feeling.
Everyday I am bombarded with students telling me about their events over the weekend or even last night. I find myself telling them to "Write it down!", but that only goes so far. I serve as not only the teacher, but the only ear some of them have. Through these supplies, my students will channel all of their thoughts and create masterpieces of their own words.
These items will help my students tell the world about their many adventures in their day-to-day lives. They will start with just their feelings and thoughts and with the help of these materials, become some of the best writers they know. They will become comfortable sharing their thoughts when they are organized and published in the correct way.
My students come to me everyday and I know that is so much behind their eyes that I cannot see and they cannot express at all times. Through the use of a pen and a good book, they will be able to let their ideas flow and create things they themselves could not imagine. These few items will do just that.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
