My Students
Every morning when entering the classroom, there's so much to share about what was experienced between the end of the day yesterday and when I see them again in the morning. These are my kiddos, excited, talkative, loving, and ready to learn.
The joy of childhood is in actively learning, and growing.
Despite attending a Title I school with limited resources and struggles with academics and language, these boys and girls continue to strive, to meet high expectations for success.
My Project
When given the choice of remaining at their desks or moving to a more relaxed seating option, my student swill rather move from their desks. When comfortable, they are more likely to engage in the reading process.
There's nothing like a good book in a comfy seat!
The rug is perfect for circle time, and the soft circle seats and bean bag chairs will enhance our reading nook.
The importance of reading cannot be over emphasized and too often children do not develop the joy of reading because it's not made enjoyable. Being comfortable helps them enjoy the process.
