This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As many of us know, the global pandemic affected many students around the world academically, emotionally, and educationally. If a child cannot read, they most likely are unable to spell, write, or do any other subject successfully. This year one of my goals is that not only my students will become stronger readers, but also stronger spellers and writers. I however need resources to make this happen. Most of my students are first generation Americans and their English fluency/comprehension is low. I would like to focus on building vocabulary. I believe that every child can be successful when a child is nurtured. Given the right tools to properly learn and understand what is expected students are more successful academically. My objective is to help my students to become GREAT writers who are confidant and able to express themselves using the vocabulary skills they will learn.
