My students are newly arrived English language learners (ELLs) in 5th grade who face the challenge of adapting to a new language and culture. As newcomers, they are eager to learn but need engaging tools and resources to develop their English skills and build confidence in both the classroom and social settings.
With your generous help, I am seeking to provide my students with hands-on games, interactive learning activities, and organizational tools that make the transition to English more enjoyable and effective.
My Students:
Several of my students have arrived from different countries with minimal exposure to English, but they are highly motivated to learn. They come to school with unique perspectives and experiences that they are excited to share, but language barriers sometimes hold them back from fully engaging with their peers and academics.
Our classroom serves as a safe space where students can practice their language skills in a fun and supportive environment, and I want to provide them with the right tools to succeed.
