Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of our computer-based learning programs use engaging audio-visual elements to help support our learners. These programs allow students to utilize all their classroom materials, including textbooks providing them access to the general curriculum. New headphones with microphones will allow our students to focus on their own instruction, with the added benefit of hearing a playback of their own recording to further strengthen their speaking and listening abilities.

Children deserve to see themselves represented in literature.

The books that we are hoping to receive will serve as mirrors to themselves and windows to other cultures around the world. Having engaging, culturally-relevant literature in the classroom will give our learners the opportunity to not only improve their reading skills, but also help them strengthen their reading comprehension by making strong connections to their own lives.
