Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My first graders are bright, curious, and full of energy. What makes them truly special is their resilience—they show up every day eager to learn, even when facing challenges beyond the classroom. They’re developing a love for reading, writing, and creative expression, and my goal is to give them a space that nurtures that growth and keeps them excited about learning.
This project will provide flexible seating, engaging literacy materials, and essential classroom supplies that support focus, comfort, and creativity.
The mobile teaching easel will allow me to model reading and writing strategies during small-group lessons and whole-class instruction, helping visual and kinesthetic learners better engage with content. The bean bag chairs will create a cozy reading nook where students can relax and focus during independent reading time. Decodable CVC books will support my beginning readers in building strong phonics foundations, while the pencils, markers, and Flair pens will give them the tools they need to express themselves through writing and art.
My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels seen, supported, and capable of success. These resources will help foster a positive learning environment where students can focus, explore, and build the confidence they need to thrive academically and emotionally. With your support, we can give these amazing kids the space and tools they deserve.
