My Students
"Am I a third grade reader yet? Can you test me now?" My students are invested in their reading goals, and it shows!
At the beginning of the year, my students set a goal for two years growth in reading.
As a class, we have made an average growth of over one year. My students daily ask to be tested in reading to see how close they are to reaching their reading goals. I am so proud of my students, but we are still dedicated to reaching our goal of two years growth by the end of the year! Fortunately, our school year does not end until August so we are ready to work our hardest over the summer months.
My Project
With the proper supplies, my students will have the extra support they need to reach their goals. I am requesting a variety of reading materials for my students including writing activities, read along stories, organizational materials for independent reading, and interactive reading technology to help support and engage my students during independent work time. My students will not only be able to independently practice the reading skills we learn together but also have fun while they learn!
Your donation will help my students access the interactive supplies they need to support their literacy learning.
These literacy tools will not only help my students reach their reading goals; more importantly, they will help them see that reading can be fun and help develop a life-long love of reading.
