My Project
I teach ELA to grades 6-12 in a small rural school, in a village that doesn't have a library or much history of reading for fun. Over the past few years I have made a concerted effort to build an interesting classroom library and incentivize my students to read on their own.
It is working, andI have many students who would like new books to read.
Our school just showed a 13% growth in reading from winter to spring testing, and I am eager to capitalize on these gains. These books will go a long way towards helping that momentum continue.
