My Students

My scholars are exceptional beyond measure. They continue to put forth their best efforts in light of these unusual times. They are always meeting my expectations in classwork and behavior. I really want to have resources to practice at home so they will achieve mastery of all of their kindergarten skills.

My Project

A reading corner in the classroom gives a platform where scholars can support and facilitate children to make meaning while reading. It is important that from the very beginning, children are introduced to a variety of books to read and there couldn't be a better starting point than school. These materials will allow my students to have a reading corner this year. The materials requested will give students a place to sit and also provide them with reading activities. These fun activities can be done independently and also provide feedback to students as they are reading with a fun pen they will surely enjoy using.

Using the resources requested, I plan to create an inviting literacy-rich book collection area that is filled with kindergarten friendly early readers.

Developing early literacy skills makes it easier for children to learn to read, equipping them with a tool that is essential for success and life. The foundation of reading starts in Kindergarten and I want to provide my students the opportunity to maximize their reading and give them the necessary tools so they will have a higher chance of obtaining a high school diploma and going to college.
