Reading Without Limits: Award Nominee Books for Students with Dyslexia

Help me give my students access to the 2025–2026 South Carolina Children's and Junior Book Award nominees along with past years winners to spark a love of reading and support their literacy growth.

My Project

My middle school ELA classroom serves 40 students, many of whom are dyslexic and benefit from high-interest, accessible novels.

To support their growth as confident readers, I am requesting a selection of engaging books.

Many of these books are the 2025-2026 South Carolina Children's and Junior Book Award nominees or past year's winners including: Eb & Flow, Oliver’s Great Big Universe, The Superteacher Project, Four Eyes, Tagging Freedom, and Parachute Kids. These titles span genres, cultures, and formats—featuring novels in verse, graphic novels, diverse protagonists, and award-winning authors. By keeping my class's bookshelves updated with these student-centered stories, I can meet readers where they are and inspire them to think critically, empathize with others, and enjoy reading.
