This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my class love to read and need new additions to our library within reach. Therefore we are in need of books and seat sacks.
We want our classroom to be neat, coordinated, clutter free and as kid friendly as possible.
My students love to have items at hand and the sacks will keep things close by and clutter free. The sacks will look the same thus, making our room color coordinated and equitable to each and every child.
My Project
My students love to read and our library is in need of some refreshing of levels P through T books for my readers to enjoy and practice in.
The addition of these titles will maintain their interest and allow them to practice the strategies taught in class to move through the reading bands.
The seat sacks will keep their books organized and within reach so they can grab a book and read when ever possible. Other items will also be within reach, in their sacks, to keep them organized and thus minimizing the time spent going to get materials to start a task.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
