This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are diverse learners in grades K-2. They require supplemental resources to support instruction and increase their ability to retain and apply skills. Many of the resources available are limited in their visual support. These resources take that a step further and provide students with essential components for learning. My students need books that will not only increase their reading fluency but also their comprehension. By securing these resources, the students would be able to integrate visual supports for learning and be more successful in learning to read.

My Project

This project will provide additional reading resources for diverse learners. These students often struggle with early literacy skills. These books provide the proper materials, as well as visual supports, to increase not only their ability to read but also increase their confidence with reading.

Currently, we have limited resources with visual supports.

These books will be a wonderful addition to the resources in our classroom. They provide students will support not only to increase their sight word vocabulary but also their word vocabulary in general. The visuals support the goal of helping them to remember words and become more fluent readers.
