My Project
Reading can be a complicated skill for students to learn as they discover the relationship between letters and sounds and how they work together to make words. When teaching phonics to students as they are learning to read, it is important for them to have magnetic letters to build words and sounds. Starting their reading journey with phonics tends to strengthen their reading skills. Phonics allows children to develop their reading comprehension and also learn new words. With this, children are able to easily decode and encode new words when learning to read. The magnetic letters I am requesting will provide opportunities for hands-on word-building for students to build new words while practicing skills they are learning.
Using magnetic letters will teach children letters and sounds by offering a tactile and visual experience for all our learners.
When they manipulate the letters, the concepts they are learning will become cemented into their memory.
