My Project
I would like to give my students an opportunity to learn and become more educated about their stories. Many African Americans have many achievements that have gone unrecognized.
Children need to acknowledge key figures from the past, present, and those that set the way for the future.
Many celebrities' have lifetime accomplishments in this country despite the hurdles they have faced. We need more than just February to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions made by Black heroes throughout history. In recent years, it's also become a time to strengthen allegiance and support marginalized communities.
