Help me give my students more books for our classroom library, and a book 'buddy' to read to at school!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach in a low-income Title I community. I want to provide my students with books to read in our classroom. As students are becoming more fluent in their independent reading, we have more book reading time in the classroom.
My goal is to provide students with books to add to our classroom library and a reading stuffed animal for my 1st grade students that stays in the classroom.
I believe reading out loud or whispering to their 'buddy' will get them more engaged in reading and continue to grow a bigger love for it. I also think that providing a small animal for them to read to shows great social emotional learning support!
Please help me put a big smile on my student's faces!
