Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in Washington Heights and my students need extra support in school and especially now during the pandemic. We are using Google Classroom to meet and receive daily assignments. It's been challenging for them and their families just to sign on in the morning. We are working hard and trying our best under the circumstances.
My students are struggling readers and they need new and interesting books to keep them motivated to learn.
These books will help excite them for their guided reading groups and read alouds.

The new books will help my students get closer to their reading level by joining in our guided reading lessons.
In September, the students will need new sturdy book baggies for their independent books.
It will be such a nice welcome back to school surprise!
I will greatly appreciate the gift cards to TPT so that I can continue to find new activities and resources to help keep remote learning interesting.
