My Project
As an English as a Second Language Teacher, I need to learn as much as possible about research-based instruction for EL learners. This book will help me grow in my role and enable me to provide the best possible reading, writing, speaking and listening instruction to my EL students.
Many of my English language learners (ELLs), have difficulty mastering the kinds of academic language needed to succeed in school, especially if they have never been explicitly taught how to use it.
These students include long-term ELLs, students who have attended U.S. schools for much or all of their education but have not yet mastered the language of school. With these books in hand, I can master the skills that I have not learned yet to give these students this support.
I will also make these books available to classroom teachers in my school. We can all benefit from the information in these books and use them to benefit our future leaders. My EL students always need extra support in the four domains they are going to master, however, this year they need help more than ever since we were all virtual last year. Please help us succeed.
