My Project
Printing decodable readers for my students weekly uses a lot of paper which can be very costly. My students need to be able to read books all the time in our classroom. Tablets would make more books accessible to my students. Leveled readers are readily available in color through the use of technology. By putting a tablet in a child's hand they have literally thousands of books at their finger tips for free! Not only will they be able to read all the time but they could practice phonics skills through games. They can also utilize these tablets in math centers in the afternoon to practice math skills through many different games and lessons available through the use of technology.
This project will make a difference in the lives of my children on a grand scale. Technology can provide so much more on a limited budget than I can provide for my students. These tablets will open up a world of opportunity for them that they could have only imagined before. Thank you in advance for your generous giving to my students.
