My Project
Hi there! I'm a passionate first year kindergarten teacher in a Title I school where many of my students face big challenges outside of school that they shouldn't have to face at such a young age. Inside my classroom, I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where every child feels seen, valued, and supported—academically, emotionally, and socially. That's why I'm asking for your help!
With your support, I want to create a classroom library that includes books that reflect the beautiful diversity of our world and our classroom.
Stories featuring different cultures, abilities, family structures, and identities help children develop empathy, acceptance, and a deeper understanding of themselves and others. Every child deserves to see themselves in the pages of a book—and also to see the world through someone else’s eyes.
