Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A larger portion of my students are non English speakers. They're coming into a completely new environment. Many lack the basic supplies needed for a successful school year. Yet, they're full of energy and eagerness to learn.
Students zoned to my school are surrounded by poverty and difficult living environments.
The majority of my students are in single-parent homes. They lack exposure to current technology and print rich homes. Although, they face many changes they come to school excited. My students are the best!
My Project
Students enjoy listening to books. The wireless headphones would avoid losing time untangling headphone wires. Students would have more time to listen to books. This helps in increasing their English vocabulary. I also chose book bags. The book bags will ensure reading materials are protected against damage. Book bags enable students to check out books to practice their reading skills at home.
My students and I would be extremely grateful to all donors participating in their growth.
