My Students
With hearts full of joy, my TK students come into school ready to learn through play. They love big, play big, and learn big as they go from 4 to 5 in the first few months of school and grow in both mind and body. Transitional Kindergarten is the first of a two-year kindergarten program designed for children who miss the cut-off for Kindergarten by just a small amount. These students may not have had any prior school experience, or they may be preschool pros.
These tiny people will light joy in the world around them!
They aren't quite ready to take on the world, but with love, patience, and support, it won't be long!
My Project
Learning to read is all about learning how to manipulate sounds. These Heggerty products will help me teach my students to play with the sounds they hear, so that segmenting the first, middle, and last sounds, rhyming, and more will all be easy. We will play and practice for just 10 minutes a day, and see phenomenal growth in just one short school year.
TK students should go into Kindergarten with a solid foundation to build upon.
These products will help me provide that to my students, so that learning to read in Kindergarten is a breeze, bridging the gap that sometimes forms in a fast-paced Kinder classroom!
