My Project
My students rotate through various literacy centers. This year I would like to begin incorporating a Cd listening center. A listening center would benefit my students by modeling fluent reading, helping to teach listening skills & stamina, providing a read-aloud model, and introducing new vocabulary words. These supplies will help to support students' social, emotional, and mental well-being as well as the impacts of interrupted learning as a result of COVID-19.
A listening center will not only help my students grow in reading, but it will also be fun and engaging.
I believe students will be very excited and motivated to listen and read books on CD which will eventually transfer to them reading with their on their own and with their peers independently through the listening center! Comfy seating at the listening center only adds to the joy of reading.
