Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are intrigue learners who speak solely Spanish. They want to learn and be able to focus on not only Spanish but the English language too. They do everything in their power to comprehend and practice what is being taught.
My students come from all different backgrounds facing difficulty with language barrier, poverty, violence and even love.
With Bi-lingual books they can get the best of both worlds. They can continue learning the Spanish language but also get a glimpse at a new world in English.
My Project
This will definitely be of tremendous help. We are extremely low on books and need our classroom to be build with learning, which reading plays a HUGE role.
It will allow my students to be able to have a variety of books instead of reading the same thing.
It will build up their confidence and self-esteem in becoming better readers. This will be an opportunity for them to learn especially coming from an all speaking Spanish home. Having the books will help them build on their future and allow them to have an opportunity to excel within the classroom and community.
