My Students

There are approximately 600 students in our school. Our kindergarten classes are full to the maximum of 30 students. All of our students are economically disadvantaged. The school provides them with breakfast and lunch daily.

Each morning I am greeted with 30 bright smiles that are eager to learn.

We are in need of Guided Reading Books. Help me give my students great guided reading books. Early literacy leveled books need to be exciting in content but leveled for independent reading. These books are colorful, interesting and non-fiction texts to help students become successful readers.

My Project

My students all come into class on many different reading levels and have many different needs. These non-fiction guided reading books will help my struggling students interact with books that have interest non-fiction topics. Students love to learn about the world around them. These books are the best at capturing a young mind and letting them see the importance of learning how to read. The book on maps will helps students learn about their community. We need to strive as educators to help create better citizens for our world. Children that care about their world, learn to do so at a young age. These books are fundamental in helping build my library to reach the interests of all of my students.
