Reading Rug

Help me give my students a comfortable place to gather for stories, music and games. After 15 years, it is time for a new, enticing, and stimulating spot for our class family to gather.

My Project

Kindergarten is a place of magic and wonder. Stories, songs, and unity color our classroom. A classroom rug is a place for our class family to gather to learn and to share. The rug is the hub of the room. All activities begin and end from there. The rug is a social tool, a motivational tool, and an educational tool. It allows for selective seating, classroom management, and learning celebrations. My current rug could tell you 15 years of children’s stories and has served us well but is ready to retire.
