My Project
What I love most about my students is their resilience, curiosity, and the way they support one another. Many of them receive reading intervention services, and every day, they come in ready to work hard, even when the tasks are challenging. I see their confidence grow as they build foundational reading skills—whether it's decoding, improving fluency, or understanding what they read. Their determination and progress inspire me daily.
The resources I’m requesting—a classroom rug and a table—may seem simple, but they will make a big difference in how effectively I can support my students, especially during intervention time.
The rug will create a warm, inviting space where we can meet as a group for focused mini-lessons, read-alouds, or literacy activities. Having a designated, cozy area helps students feel safe and ready to engage, which is especially important for those who need extra academic or emotional support.
The table will provide a consistent, organized space for small-group instruction. During reading intervention, I work closely with students to target their individual needs. Whether we’re working on phonics, oral reading fluency, or comprehension strategies, having a dedicated table means students can focus better and access materials easily. It also creates a sense of routine and structure, which is essential for students who benefit from extra support and a calm learning environment.
These resources will help me deliver high-quality, small-group instruction that meets each learner where they are. They’ll foster a space where students can concentrate, feel comfortable, and celebrate their progress together. Thank you for supporting our classroom and making it possible for all students, especially those receiving intervention, to thrive.
