My Students
My first graders are fantastic and I'm so lucky to be their teacher! They're eager to learn and love reading and using technology. By the end of the year, my goal is for every student to leave my classroom with a love of reading and writing.
We are a Title One School.
My students are first graders. I have 50 students with a morning and afternoon dual language class. I'm so proud of my students for learning all the first grade standards, plus a second language too. We have one student who is trilingual at the age of 6. Our staff is focused on building a love of learning as well as strong character traits in each student.
My Project
These books (Classic Fairy Tales Paperback Library, Lakeshore Nonfiction Sight-Word Readers and I Can Read! Readers - Complete Series) will be used for reading practice and as sources for research during writing. They will be used as a mentor text to help inspire and motivate students to improve the quality of their writing and sentences. It's important that we have both fiction and non-fiction books in our classroom for reading practice. Students will also be able to check out these books to take home.
This project will make a difference in my students lives because my students will be able to choose books that interest or inspire them.
They will be able to take these books home for additional reading practice. Most importantly, they will be able to practice their reading skills.
