Help me give my students flex-floor seating and engaging and relevant news magazines.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Schulman's classroom raised $478

My Students
I have the best students in the world! They are a diverse bunch of 4th graders from the neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn in New York City. I teach ELA, Social Studies, Civics, and Sustainability. With the start of the school season just around the corner, it is essential that students have choices for their work AND play stations.
Just as in their homes, the right place in school for students to learn and the right equipment for students to learn with can make all the difference.
That’s why I’m requesting a set of flex-space comfy floor seats to read ON and a set of Scholastic News magazines and digit library to read WITH.
The rigor of a new school year is almost here, and I am so excited to be able to offer them the comfort of a kid-friendly workspace and the engagement and interest of current reading material.
My Project
My 4th grade students are always looking for classroom spaces in which to read, write and think besides the traditional desks and tables areas. By providing them with comfy, flex-space floor seats, their classroom will be transformed into an oasis of calm and color! Kids like to choose where they learn and what they study on. These cushy, but sturdy floor chairs will make the perfect spots for them to read on and discuss their thoughts. And students will be able to read in their new spots with fun, engaging and current Scholastic News magazines in their hands! Each month, our classroom will receive magazines full of articles relevant to our learning, plus access to Scholastic’s digital resources which will enhance our growing library and make reading time one of the most special times of our day.
