My Students
My students are very enthusiastic children who are self-motivated workers. I aim to foster each child’s positive identity as a curious and capable learner. While my classroom may be viewed as fun, it is also a place where children are challenged to engage with core concepts from the sciences and the arts, to work collaboratively as creative problem solvers, and to expand their knowledge by listening to, examining content and working collaboratively as they consider different perspectives, giving and receiving feedback.
My Project
My students need a Classroom Storage Bench where they can unwind and read. I want my students to have a cozy outlet, such as the Flex-Space Classroom Storage Bench, to choose books and read, independently or with a peer. Reading at a special nook will keep them not only motivated but engaged and is a great alternative so they can actively read comfortably; than sitting at a metal desk. I desire for my students to have an area they can go to when they need time apart to read, reflect, and regroup. Especially in an ICT classroom some of my students need to sometimes be removed from the hustle and bustle in a comforting small space designed to promote language and literacy.
