This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my second year teaching the elementary grades. I am so amazed at how eager my students are to improve their reading abilities. My students are incredible because they have proven to persevere despite their disabilities.

Despite the daily challenges, these kids move forward and try their best to improve their reading skills.

Their disabilities range from Specific learning disabilities, ADHD, emotional disturbances, intellectual disability to Autism Spectrum disorders. Nevertheless, they love to read.

My Project

I plan to use the TPT gift cards during remote learning and start the transition to come back to in-person learning. I have received some great training in the science of reading, so now I want to assure myself that I will have the appropriate variety of materials ready for my students as we wrap up the school year, begin to prepare for summer school/extended school year services, and for when I start lesson planning for the next school year.

Having the right reading resources will help my students become the independent and confident readers they deserve.
