This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are ambitious and creative kiddos. Our school has a diverse group of kids, from low income to military households. My students work hard and are determined to be successful. Adjusting to distant learning has been a challenge for my students and myself; however, we are making it work. We are determined to continue learning and be successful even if our learning is from a distance.
My Project
Teaching 6th grade is a huge challenge. Kiddos are trying to adjust to the middle school setting. I would love to give my students materials/resources to ensure they are successful during this pandemic. I need to be able to provide a safe learning environment even if it is from a distance.
I hope to provide my students with different reading resources that will meet their individual needs.
These resources will allow me to provide my students with the tools and strategies they need to be successful in my 6th grade reading class.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
