My Students
"The journey of a lifetime starts with the turning of the page." -Rachel Anders. Without the knowledge of knowing how to read, my students cannot be successful.
My students are a group of low income kids who do not always have all the help and resources necessary to be successful.
Many of the students in my classroom are one-two grades below grade level in reading. They need the extra help and support to get them to being readers at grade level. Reading needs to be a priority.
My Project
With your help, my students will be provided with extra resources for the classroom. My students will use the main idea and reading for details folders to help with their overall comprehension. They will use comprehension skills practice cards and reading comprehension practice books as well to make sure they truly understand what they are reading.
