Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come to me daily for reading instruction. I have kids from Kindergarten through 5th grade. These kids are very eager to learn to read and just need a little bit of extra small group time and exposure to become excellent readers. We will read these multicultural stories together and discuss the meaning and message behind each story. We will then write and draw about what we learned from the stories to help them with their comprehension. The kids in turn will be able to take the books home to read to their families and to share with their families what they have learned from another culture and how cultures are all alike in some ways while at the same time being UNIQUE. Just like my students are UNIQUE! As well as students all around the world!
