Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Covid has impacted my low income students especially in reading and writing skills. Many say, "I can't read." and look so sad. Having comfy, relaxed seating and having color containers to find books at their reading level, will be exciting and help empower them to believe in themselves as readers.
The reading and writing centers will help my students work together and build our classroom community. Having colorful, organizational trays and boxes will help our class find the things we need to help us learn during small group reading time.
This classroom project was brought to life by The Arizona Department of Education
