This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creative, active, and have a love for reading. My students come from a low-income urban area who deserve the same opportunities as their surrounding suburban schools. My students deserve an academic rich learning environment.
As their teacher, I want to provide the most conducive learning experience from home with the best resources to continue to support their love for learning from a distance.
I also would love for my students to have more exposure to content from home. This project will give my students an opportunity to engage in learning during this challenging time.
My Project
These materials will benefit my students in their reading fluency. I am always looking for ways to engage my students to fall in love with reading, but to also build on their fluency with topics that they love. Story works is a great engagement tool for students to connect with a text on the level that they enjoy. It also gives them the opportunity to interact with peers on different topics to build on their verbal traits as well.
My students would love this interactive magazine with topics that are fun and engaging.
