Help me give my students reading readiness skills through these teaching tubs. Realia helps students learn and retain information. These tubs will help them build them skills in phonics and help them to become successful readers.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Thank you for considering our 1st grade class. My students are ready to be fantastic readers and we hope you will help. We are a Title 1 school with a great school community and staff. Many of our students and families are not only learning a new language but are also facing the challenges of food and housing insecurities. I want to provide a safe, rigorous, and fun environment for these children to grow and learn in. One of the ways they can practice their phonics skills in a fun engaging way will be through skills practice. The sound tubs will benefit all of my learners but specifically my English language learners. With these tubs, students have physical objects to connect to sounds and words to enable them to learn them and retain that information. We hope you choose our class for this project!
