This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students are struggling to find books they enjoy or are not yet reading at grade level. I want to change that by creating a diverse, engaging classroom library that meets every student where they are in their reading journey. With your help, I can provide books like Keeper of the Lost Cities, Miles Morales, Loki, and Land of Stories that will captivate their imaginations and encourage them to see reading as fun and exciting.
These books offer a mix of adventure, superheroes, and fantasy—perfect for students at various reading levels.
Whether they’re just starting to read chapter books or are ready for more complex stories, these titles will engage all learners. In addition, I’m requesting a bookshelf to keep the books organized and bookmarks to motivate students to track their progress and celebrate their achievements.
These books will help struggling readers discover stories they connect with, boosting their confidence and fostering a love for reading. For students already confident in their skills, these books will provide new worlds to explore. The bookshelf and bookmarks will create an organized, inviting space that encourages independent reading and learning.
