My Students
We are a title one school and have grateful, helpful students who love to learn and read. Many of my students receive free or reduced rate lunch. Although my students face challenges day to day, they want to do their best. They continue to grow and learn each day. The students in my classroom encourage me to make learning more fun and accessible.
My students are dreamers, thinkers and they love to talk.
However, some of my students are are struggling readers who all perform on different levels of reading! So I would like to help build a classroom library which the students will have access to different reading materials that will help them grow and motivated them to continue reading.
My Project
My students need a leveled library of fiction and nonfiction books to read at their reading level. We do not have that many leveled books in the classroom and so I would love to provide them with the opportunity to do so. Students will be able to checkout books each week to take home every day. My goal is to inspire students to explore the wonder and mystery of learning by raising students awareness of reading.
These leveled books will help our students learn how fun and interesting it is to read while giving them the confidence and skills to read accurately.
