My Students
My students in Reading Pals are Dyslexic students. They struggle with confidence and motivation in Reading and Writing. Since starting Reading pals their confidence has improved drastically.
They have came out of their shells and their passion for Reading has grown. Their Reading Levels have improved, as well as their writing and motivation to read.
They have shared their stories with some of their little pals that struggle with the dyslexia and served as an inspiration and mentor to them.
My Project
These books are what makes Reading Pals successful. I teach middle school so many of our schools books are chapter books. We read to 2nd graders who need easier books to hear and read. This would allow my students access to books to practice with and to build their confidence. It also gives them more time to practice their questioning strategies since the books are in our room. Some books will be a Christmas and end of year gift to our Reading Pal to help grow and practice their love for Reading through out the year and through out summer.
