My students need a Rhyme, Rhythm & Song Library and a set of Chant & Rhyme CD Read-Alongs.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Morris's classroom raised $357
This project is fully funded
I am the music teacher in a Title One school. Our school population is made of children who live in poverty and receive free lunches. We have many who are high-risk readers.
A school-wide effort is being made to help our high-risk readers. Exposing these children to print in any way is beneficial to them. To incorporate music and rhythm to reading can catch those students who fall into the musical intelligence category.
My students can really use books and resources that will boost their self-esteem and give them confidence to read. This will help our student score higher on our state mandated testing.
Teaching our students reading and music is very important, but the lesson you help us to teach them is of even more importance. Your donation to this project teaches them how important an education is, but also teaches them that giving back to their community is important and helps us establish our tenets of Great Expectations too.
