My Students
This year I entered my 13th year teaching but my 1st year as a 2nd grade teacher. My 2nd-grade students have come into this new school year eager to learn despite all the COVID restrictions placed upon them. I have never had a more respectful and polite group of scholars that have taught me so much in a short period of time. They want to read and focus on their education. These students deserve to have every available option to further their education that society can provide. Reading proficiency is a top priority and students need access to high-quality books in order to increase their skills and proficiency levels.
My Project
The more we practice something, the better we become. This is something I discuss with my students every day during morning meetings. They love reading and I want to give them as many books as they can get their hands on so they can practice daily during independent reading.
Great books may be the strongest tool to turn a child into a lifelong reader!
