Reading Opens Up a Whole New World!

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the minds of a growing child’s reading comprehension that I strive to create. Our classroom library needs some fresh new colorful and exciting books. Through these books, our library can become a place that my students will really enjoy as they read independently and as I read to them. Every book that will be placed in our classroom library will be treated with love and care. The books have been chosen with my students in mind and my goal is to continue to choose books that will help them want to read more and love independent reading time. We currently have bean bags in that area and my students love to sit on them and read. I found that children enjoy reading when they are comfortable. Any extra help that I can give them while preparing them for 2nd grade is a win.

As an educator, I believe the best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading comprehension, recognizing sight words, and building their confidence.

This project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
